The U.S. Embassy and Chargé d’ Affaires, Kevin Sullivan, hosted its annual gathering to celebrate the 238th anniversary of America’s Independence on the evening of July 2nd at the ambassador’s residence.
This year the traditional celebration highlighted legendary Route 66, that crosses 8 states from Chicago to Los Angeles with decoration, music, food, landscapes, photos, and videos related to the iconic road. The Chargé remarked that this theme is a “a symbol of our identity.”
In attendance at the event were members of the national and provincial governments, diplomats, business leaders, academics, local artists, and journalists; among other members of the local community.
