During her visit to ISICANA, the Binational Center in Salta, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer Katherine Ordoñez presented the E-Teacher program certificate to Alba Rioja, English Language teacher, congratulating her on successful completion of the intensive professional development course.
Ms. Rioja is one of several English teachers in Argentina who won a scholarship for the ten-week online training course on ESP (English for Specific Purposes) at the University of Oregon, through the Embassy and U.S. Department of State’s E-Teacher Program.
At present, there are over 80 English teacher alumni who have participated in this program throughout Argentina. E-Teacher offers nine online, professional development courses to English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching professionals in more than 100 countries outside the U.S.
