The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Argentina hosted a welcome reception in honor of Ambassador Noah Mamet. The reception was attended by senior executives from AmCham member companies, national and provincial government representatives from the executive, legislative and judicial branches, journalists and non-governmental organizations.

During the event, AmCham President Juan Manuel Vaquer stated: “Our two nations share a long history of bilateral relations and have an extraordinary potential to work together to promote development in our societies.  We firmly believe that bilateral ties will be further strengthened during Ambassador Mamet’s tenure.”

Later, in his address to the group, Ambassador Mamet said: “Our bilateral trade has continued to grow steadily, and like many of you, I get the sense that investor interest in Argentina is also growing.  In the last ten days, we have signed three important bilateral agreements on scientific research, trade transparency and the Paris Club. There is much more we can do going forward, and I want our Mission here to serve as a bridge between our two vibrant economies.”

Ambassador Mamet also highlighted the importance of education and the Embassy’s partnership with the Government of Argentina and the Fulbright Commission in the BEC.AR Program. Moreover, the Ambassador underscored space collaboration between Argentina and the United States, as well as the meetings held with Argentine CONAE experts, visits to INVAP and La Plata University.
