The 15th annual Argentine Binational Center Academic Directors meeting was hosted by APICANA in Parana on June 25-26, 2015. During this two day event, participants from 12 of the 14 Argentine Binational Centers shared best practices, exchanged ideas and discussed the challenges they face, as English language administrators in the BNCs. Participants were joined by Cultural Affairs Officer, Christine Meyer, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, Linda Talluto, and Kennis Look, the English Language Fellow sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, who served as a consultant and expert on current teaching and assessment methods. ELF Look also gave a training workshop on “Council in the Language Classroom: speaker and Listening from the heart” for BNC Academic directors and teaching staff at APICANA. During the event, the Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to work together with the 14 BNCs– promoting their missions as both English language institutes and centers for the exchange of U.S. and Argentine cultures.
