On October 26 and 27, 2016, ISICANA, the Binational Center (BNC) in Salta, hosted the 36th annual Argentine Binational Centers executive directors’ meeting. BNC representatives from cities throughout Argentina attended this two day annual encounter. Counselor for Public Affairs Thomas Mesa participated in the opening ceremony and delivered a presentation to participants.
This gathering enabled representatives of 8 of the 13 BNCs in Argentina to share best practices and experiences in areas of academics, administration, cultural exchanges, library services, using technology to enhance English language teaching, and education advising.
In addition, attendees participated in ISICANA’s 60th anniversary celebration. Counselor for Public Affairs Thomas Mesa presented a plaque to commemorate the Bi-National Center’s sixty years of work and shared friendship between Argentina and the United States.
