Bipartisan resolution reaffirms U.S.-Argentina partnership and recognizes Argentina’s recent economic reforms

Resolution calls for the United States to continue to engage with key South American nation

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-Del.), Marco Rubio (R-Fl.), Tim Kaine (D-Va.), and James Lankford (R-Okla.) introduced a resolution yesterday that reaffirms the partnership between the United States and Argentina and recognizes the economic reforms implemented by Argentina since its election of President Mauricio Macri in November 2015. Representatives Jeff Duncan (R-S.C. 3) and Albio Sires (D-N.J. 8), the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Western Hemisphere subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, also introduced a companion resolution yesterday.
