Deputy Cultural Attaché Katherine Ordoñez visited Córdoba to meet with institutions and participate in seminars sponsored by the Embassy. During her trip, she met with the National University of Córdoba, the Catholic University of Córdoba and 21st Century University. At all three institutions she met with the study abroad/exchange coordinators and shared news in relation to 100,000 Strong, President Obama’s initiative to promote educational exchange in the Americas.
In addition to her meetings with universities, Ordoñez also visited the IICANA binational center where she shared Thanksgiving traditions with Access scholarship students. She also learned about a project led by Access alumni to reduce bullying in the city of Córdoba.
To wrap up her trip, she attended the Training Program for Young Entrepreneurs organized by alumni members of the Contemporary Foundation and took part in the inaugural panel of the third annual Training Program for Young Leaders, also organized by the same foundation. Both programs are sponsored by the US Embassy in Argentina.
