There are many opportunities for U.S. companies to help Argentina build high-quality infrastructure. The Embassy organized a conference gathering the Argentine Government and U.S. companies to facilitate information-sharing and direct engagement to respond to questions about projects and bidding processes in Argentina.
Under the U.S. State Department Direct Line Program, the Embassy brought together Argentina’s Transportation Ministry and 106 U.S. construction and engineering services companies interested in railway, road and airport infrastructure projects in Argentina. Transportation Minister Guillermo Dietrich presented the National Infrastructure Plan and the main projects in which companies could participate. He highlighted public-private projects, for example, road networks to Bahia Blanca and Rosario cities, Roads 3 and 226 transformation works, and the extension of Roca Railway lines to Vaca Muerta, among others.
