
Ambassador Noah Mamet visited Primary School No. 15 located in the town of Agustina, district of Junin, in Buenos Aires Province. Fifty students attend the rural school which was named after John Fitzgerald Kennedy in 1965.
During the visit, the Ambassador presented a bust of the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The bust is a replica of the famous 1964 work of U.S. sculptor Leo Cherne.
The original is exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. The bust will be placed on the school premises.
During the visit, the Ambassador also presented a collection of U.S. literary classics for children and youth.
In addition, Ambassador Mamet met with the Mayor of Junin, Mario Andrés Meoni, to talk about issues of mutual interest.
