Economic Counselor Timothy M. Stater participated as a judge in the Entrepreneur Organization’s Global Student Entrepreneurs Award (EO GSEA). The Global Student Entrepreneurs Award is the world’s most important student entrepreneurs’ competition. The winner for this year’s Argentine Chapter was Ianir Sonis. Ianir will travel to Washington D.C. in April to present his project at the grand finale together with 50 winners from all over the world, before an audience of entrepreneur political leaders.
Entrepreneurs’ Organization Argentina includes 25 members who jointly account for $ 246.5 MM in sales and provide more than 2,000 direct jobs. Members of EO Argentina include Computer & Software, Chemical, Distribution, Beverages, Financial Services, Training, Advertising & Marketing, and Food Companies, among others. EO Argentina entrepreneurs average 35 years of age and employ an average of 80 people each.
According to Ianir, the winning project “Reserva Turno (Book in Advance) was created to improve the appointment making process for beauty services.” The project gives clients the opportunity to make appointments at beauty salons anywhere, anytime.
