My name is Melina Almandoz and I am 15 years old. I am from Cipolletti, Río Negro, Argentina. I attend the high school in my city and have also studied English at “Bells” English Institute for many years. I dream about going to certain neighborhoods in my city with my family and helping the people there who need it. These are the activities that I truly love to do and I will never stop helping people. I consider myself to be a person who can motivate others and who will never stop fighting to accomplish my dreams. I want to demonstrate to others that economic hardship should not stop you from believing in yourself and working hard to achieve what you want in life.

My name is Facundo Alvarado, but my friends call me Pepe. I am 17 years old and from Río Gallegos, Santa Cruz, Argentina. In regards to my academic life, I have just finished my sophomore year at Nuestra Señora de Fátima High School and am focusing my studies on Social Sciences and Humanities. I have studied English for seven years at the British High School in the capital of my province, Santa Cruz. Both school communities are very important to me, given that they provide me with much more than just academic life. Two of my great passions are: Information Technology and Social Sciences. I work for a volunteer project called The City of Río Gallegos Entrepreneurs Club, which helps young entrepreneurs launch their ideas. I am currently developing an app that helps families adopt dogs who need a home. I also love to read and learn, especially when the subject is history or politics. Curiosity and the hunger to learn motivate me to participate in Youth Ambassadors, which offers experiences that you definitely cannot find while studying textbooks.

My name is Federico Cañete Julio, but all of my friends call me Fede. I am 16 years old and my birthday is March 16th. I am from Córdoba, Argentina and I have lived here since I was born. I love to learn and incorporate new lessons and ideas into my life. My favorite subjects are English, Math, Biology and Art. I am an English ACCESS Microscholarship Program student at IICANA, which is where I learned to speak English. In my free time, I like to play the guitar, read, draw and spend time with my family and friends. I am very excited to participate in Youth Ambassadors. It is truly a dream come true and I can’t wait!

My name is Máximo Conde. I study Natural Sciences at Jesús Maestro Catholic High School in San Pedro, Jujuy, Argentina. I have recently finished my sophomore year of high school and I have completed my English studies at the Cambridge English Cultural Institute too. I volunteer for a charitable group and serve as a cadet in the volunteer fire department in San Pedro. I am interested in medicine, physics, language and literature. My passions include traveling, meeting new people and learning about new cultures and places. One of my biggest dreams is to return to my city and help make it a more healthy and hygienic place. Additionally, I dream about traveling the world. I hope that Youth Ambassadors is not only an opportunity to meet new friends, but also a door to new opportunities, great memories and changes for the better.

My name is Santiago Camiletti. I am 16 years old and I attend the Normal Clemente José Andrada School in Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina. My main hobbies are reading and writing, which complement my love for literature. I also like to play various sports, including softball, karate and basketball. This year I started attending chess and literature classes and also continue to go to the gym and study English, which is the language I have studied for the past 6 years.

I love social sciences, learning about different cultures and observing the different behaviors of people as individuals and communities. I am trying to understand how to help my community, which is one of the main reasons that I applied to the Youth Ambassadors program. I am not sure what I would like to study at university, but am very interested in philosophy, psychology and sociology. I am also an entrepreneur and I like to make goods and offer services that contribute to the community. Overall, my objective in life is to discover, learn and explore all of the possibilities that I have access to. From now on, I will take advantage of everything and won’t be scared to change. I want to experience all phases of life!

I like to learn new languages, jump rope, drink coffee with milk and help other people. I am not very good at sports, but I do enjoy rainy days spent reading books. This past year, I achieved the highest grade point average in my class thanks to my constant hard work and dedication to studying. I have also studied English for a long time in the Language Department of UNNE. I really like sports and have practiced Taekwondo for many years. I am very interested in learning about new cultures in other countries. I want to meet new people, interact with them and forge new friendships. In the future, I would like to attend medical school.

I like to read, write, dance, work out and spend time with family and friends. I also like to work with children, so I often volunteer as a teacher at my church. I believe that the best model of leadership is Jesus. I am interested in learning about new ideas and sharing with other people. I also love to travel and discover different cultures, people and places. For these reasons, I am very excited to participate in Youth Ambassadors.

I am Nayla Pagano. I am 17 years old and I am in my second to last year of high school at Qmark High School in San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina. I have studied English in different schools in my city. In my free time, I play Handball and spend time with my friends. I have participated in the United Nations “Uniendo Metas” program, which involves participating in dialogue groups and Model UN activities. I was invited to participate in the national tournament. My favorite activity is helping others. For example, I regularly tutor my classmates in my free time. In the future, I would like to study International Relations and work in that area.

I am Franco Ricci. I was born in the city of Buenos Aires on July, 12th 2000. In elementary school, my family and I moved to the beautiful city of San Nicolás in Buenos Aires province, which is where I currently live. I have studied English for a total of three years. I am studying Social Sciences in high school and will graduate in 2018. Additionally, I will take the test for First Certificate from Cambridge English very soon. In 2015, I began participating in Model UN, an experience which has changed my life. I have learned so much from Model UN and it has helped me develop many pertinent skills. For this reason, I want to ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn through Model UN and can embody the change they wish to see in the world. Lastly, my family hosted a Thai student for four months, which awoke my interest in different cultures. I have always been interested in history, geography, political science and especially English. I would describe myself as an ambitious and self-motivated person. In the future, I want to study law and specialize in international law.

I am in my final year of high school and enjoy participating in the color guard. After nine years of studying English at the SURICANA Binational Center, I graduated in 2017. I like numbers and art. In the future, I want to study Economics. I am also an active member of an Evangelical Christian Church and I have attended that church my whole life. I have also participated in various events with a foundation called JUnTOS. In my free time, I like to read, watch movies and go on walks. My biggest dream is to travel and see the world. I am excited that Youth Ambassadors will open the doors of the world for me!

My name is María Constanza Tokeff Alamo and I am 16 years old. I was born March 18th, 2001 in La Rioja, Argentina. I am the oldest child of Alamo Claudia Paola and Tokeff Rafael Alejandro. I have a younger brother named Matías Joaquín. I have always strived to be an exemplary student and am an avid learner. Throughout the years, I have also participated in a variety of extracurricular activities. I have danced Arab ballet, played field hockey and participated in theater productions. Starting this year, I have served as a Geography tutor for students in my school. One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world and learn about new cultures, help people who need it and serve my community as much as possible. Participating in Youth Ambassadors is the beginning of those dreams. While I am still unsure about which career path I would like to follow, I know that I will be a lifelong learner even after graduating from college. I will always seek ways to be a capable and skilled person in all I do.

I am Santiago Weinberger. I am 17 years old and a junior at E.E.S N°2 High School in Carhué, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have the highest grade point average in my grade and I serve on the color guard. I have studied English since I was 10 years old and have passed various international language exams. I enjoy reading, visiting new places and learning about new cultures. I value social and intellectual exchanges between communities. I am also very interested in science so I have participated in various environmental projects including agricultural presentations and science fairs. I am equally as interested in the development of my town through student and community events. I serve as the President of my student council and I have participated in various humanitarian groups. My greatest interests are engineering, transportation and civil planning. I am really committed to helping my community solve problems related to those topics and will continue with this through my studies in the future.

I am Juan Pablo Nora. I am from Godoy Cruz, Mendoza, Argentina but I currently live in the City of Buenos Aires where I work for the Ministry of National Modernization in the Institutional Relations Division. I have studied law at San Andrés University and I am no stranger to the Youth Ambassadors Program, as I participated in it in 2010. I have also traveled to the US in 2012 with the “First Partners Campus Convention” program, organized by Partners of the Americas. I am the founder of the Partners Campus organization at the University of San Andrés, which is a social group that promotes youth volunteerism in Buenos Aires. I have also served as President of the group from 2012 to 2015.
