Eisenhower Fellows from Argentina celebrated the annual Eisenhower Day of Fellowship on October 18 at ICANA. Almost 60 Argentines have participated in the program since 1957, and many of them were present at the event. Public Affairs Officer Thomas Mesa congratulated Fellows for their dedication and commitment to improving international relations, and bringing home new knowledge to make Argentina even more successful.
The Eisenhower Fellowship was founded in 1953, on the eve of President Eisenhower’s first birthday in office. The program provides an intensive seven-week fellowship experience each spring for individuals from approximately 20 – 25 countries. Eisenhower Fellows are exceptional leaders in their countries, representing a diverse mix of private, public and NGO sectors. Each of them has demonstrated leadership ability and a commitment to better their communities and advance their professional disciplines as a result of the fellowship. 57 Argentines have been selected for the program since 1957.
