Current English Language Fellow Tylie Cramer participated in the annual SHARE Convention for teachers of English as a Foreign Language in Buenos Aires on July 28-29, 2016. She led a semi-plenary session on “Mobile Application Language Learning” (MALL), attended by approximately 350 English teachers and advanced students. The presentation focused on the challenges and rewards of mobile application language learning and the theoretical tools to implement it in the English language classroom. Over 700 teachers from all over Argentina and neighboring countries attended the convention, which was organized by SHARE Education, a nonprofit organization for English teacher professional development, with support from the U.S. Embassy in Argentina. Tylie Cramer is one of two current English Language Fellows in Argentina. The English Language Fellowship program supports English language teaching in countries worldwide and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Tylie’ s host institution is IICANA, the Binational Center in Cordoba, where she serves as a teacher trainer, consultant, and advisor.
