Professor Larry McDaniel of the University of Mississippi Medical Center delivered a talk on scientific writing and publishing at Fulbright Commission on November 13 organized by the Embassy. To a crowd of over 30 students and scholars, Dr. McDaniel outlined the importance of scientific writing and provided examples on how to improve writing for scientific journals and publications.
Dr. McDaniel highlighted the importance of ethical considerations in writing and stressed the need to establish authorship agreements before the writing process begins. Dr. McDaniel also spoke of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), of which he is a member.
Students, scholars, and professors of public and national universities of Argentina participated of the workshop.
