Embassy Participates in Red Innova Tech Camp

Chargé D ‘Affairs Kevin Sullivan participated in Red Innova Tech Camp,  a two-day technology and innovation conference for entrepreneurs , designers , developers, investors and innovators in Buenos Aires. On the second day of the conference, Sullivan addressed a group of more than 200 people about transforming Latin America through innovation.

The Chargé stressed the importance of collaborating to create “a favorable environment for innovation to come to light.”  In addition to noting the importance of joint efforts among countries to promote the development of businesses, he expressed his pride in the United States’ participation in some of these projects.

“We have sponsored and continue to sponsor exchange programs in social entrepreneurship and to strengthen the ecosystem of entrepreneurs in Argentina,” Sullivan added.

Moving forward with this goal in mind, the Embassy will continue to partner with the Small Business Network of the Americas, which seeks to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and small business growth in the Western Hemisphere and in 2015 will host the Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Americas (WEAmericas) Tech Camp, which is part of an initiative that aims to reduce barriers and increased opportunities for women entrepreneurs who wish to start their own small and medium-sized businesses.
