The Economic Section (ECON) supports bilateral economic relations between the United States and Argentina in areas such as trade, energy, telecommunications, finance, intellectual property rights, civil aviation, transportation, combating terrorist financing, and infrastructure.
The office is responsible for analyzing developments in the Argentine economy and opportunities for the bilateral economic relationship.
In conjunction with the U.S. Foreign Commercial and Agricultural Services, ECON assists U.S. businesses interested in investment and trade opportunities in Argentina and local companies interested in doing business in the United States.
