On Wednesday, April 23, 2014, the U.S. Embassy in Argentina held a reception at the Ambassador’s Residence in honor of the members of the Argentina chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization.
Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is a global business network of 10,000+ business owners in 131 chapters and 40 countries. Founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs, EO enables small and large business owners to learn from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life. EO’s vision is to build the world’s most influential entrepreneur community, which aligns with their mission of supporting entrepreneurial education and engaging entrepreneurs to learn and grow. The event was an excellent opportunity to bring together partners in the entrepreneurial community, including IVLP alumni and members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina, to network, share experiences and meet Embassy officials.
Acting DCM Tim Stater welcomed the group and remarked, “Here in Argentina, the entire Embassy works together to promote entrepreneurism as part of our efforts to expand trade and investment– but more importantly we are focused on providing the tools and opportunities directly to innovative start-ups, small and medium-sized businesses, incubators and small business development centers, and capacity building organizations – like the Entrepreneurs’ Organization – who will make the real impact.”
