Jazz Workshop at the Colón Theatre

Two recognized musicians and professors at the New York University, Robert Auler and Trevor Jorgensen, shared a workshop at the Colón Theatre with students from the Instituto Superior de Artes del Teatro Colón and jazz musicians.

The class provided an interactive space and an interesting approach between classical music and jazz. The professors, a pianist and a saxophonist, answered all the questions from the young attendants and presented several musical pieces ranging from one extreme to another, combining shapes and sounds to show their similarities and differences.

The audience was excited about the shared knowledge but even more amazed by the positive message that Jorgensen and Auler preached as a lifestyle, as well as a professional way. They defined the key to success in both music and everyday life as being good colleagues, being willing to help others, and having a positive attitude.
