The Embassy is proud to accompany Ashoka, which has been, for the last 30 years, selecting, identifying and promoting social entrepreneurs to achieve the greatest possible impact.
Each year, an Ashoka panel formally selects new members who will be part of a network of social entrepreneurs for life. In this ceremony the staff members worldwide, business people and members of the Selecting Committee interview and evaluate the candidates.
This year, Bosch Palace was the venue for the cocktail closure panel. Nominees, social entrepreneurs, members of the panel, the group of Argentine businessmen who financially support Ashoka, were all present.
The guests were received by the Charge d’Affaires Kevin Sullivan, who stated: “In the Embassy and across the Government of the United States, we fully share and support the important insight of Ashoka: entrepreneurship serves as a primary route for change social thus improving the quality of life of people.”
Today Ashoka is a global network of 3,000 social entrepreneurs working in different subject areas in more than 71 countries worldwide.
