Gino Tubaro, a former US Embassy Scholarship recipient (Science Camp 2013) was recognized by JCI Argentina for his significant contributions to community development. Tubaro, who is only 19 years old, received an award for being an Outstanding Young Person in the Scientific and Technological Development category of their annual awards ceremony.
The 19-year-old electronic engineering student has been creating a name for himself in the science and technology industry in Buenos Aires. He and his team at Darwin Research have designed and developed low-cost prosthetics using 3-D printers. His innovative product provides an alternative to expensive prosthetics, which can be difficult to import.
