Ambassador Noah Mamet inaugurated International Education Week in Argentina by visiting a group of ten-year-old students at a primary school in Buenos Aires. The students have been learning English for three years and practiced their skills by asking the Ambassador questions about the United States, sports, family, and many other topics. Ambassador Mamet concluded the visit by reading the students a book in English and donated several books to the school’s library.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
