September 11 at AMIA

The U.S. Embassy in Argentina jointly with the Argentine Jewish Mutual Association (AMIA) hosted a ceremony in commemoration of the thirteenth anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks to honor the victims of these and other incidents perpetrated by terrorism in different parts of the world. U.S. Chargé d’ Affaires Kevin Sullivan attended the ceremony and thanked everyone present for their solidarity.

“Today, as we honor the Americans, Argentines, and citizens of more than 90 countries who perished on September 11, let us remember that we stand alongside each other, united in the struggle to construct a peaceful future for generations to come.”—said the Chargé.

Also present at the ceremony were Israel’s Ambassador to Argentina Dorit Shavit, DAIA President Julio Schlosser, and AMIA Treasurer Ariel Cohen Sabban, among other diplomatic, political and religious leaders.
