On April 27, the U.S. Ambassador to Argentina Noah Mamet met with the authorities of the Argentine-American leadership network (REAL), an organization of Argentine alumni from the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP): Juan Pablo Laporte, current President; Elizabeth Kries, Vice President; and former president Ricardo Vanella.

During their meeting the Ambassador stressed the important work that REAL carries out to promote and strengthen the bilateral relationship between Argentina and the United States. In particular he noted their work related to education and the hope that more Argentines and U.S. citizens can have the chance to participate in exchange programs. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to REAL for their efforts to improve understanding among people of both nations.

This year commemorates the 75th anniversary of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).  REAL has a series of activities planned for 2015 in the city of Buenos Aires and in their branches in other cities.
