Ambassador Edward Prado hosted a reception yesterday at the Bosch Palace to celebrate the 242nd anniversary of the declaration of U.S. Independence. The reception also kicked off the celebration of Bosch Palace’s centennial. Government representatives; members of the diplomatic corps; business, academic and cultural leaders; journalists; members of the Armed Forces, and distinguished representatives of all walks of society attended the event.
This year, the celebration featured the Age of Jazz. Through music and dance performances and a “speakeasy”, guests were taken back to the times of Bosch Palace´s construction.
This was Ambassador Prado’s first 4th of July celebration in Argentina since his arrival in May. Suring his remarks, the Ambassador took the opportunity to congratulate Argentine guests on their incoming Independence celebration, and highlighted shared values and history that are the basis of both countries friendship.
