Transportation of Cremated Remains to the United States

In order to transport cremated remains to the United States, the traveler is required to sign an affidavit at the U.S. Embassy. Request an appointment at BuenosAires-ACS@state.gov

Documents required:

• Argentine death certificate (original or certified copy)
• Cremation certificate (original or certified copy)
• Flight itinerary
• Valid ID or Passport (original)

Fee:

• Deceased is a U.S. Citizen: No fee
• Deceased is a non-U.S. Citizen: USD 50
