The U.S. Embassy Supports Science Projects from Argentine Schools

The Embassy of the United States in Argentina is pleased to announce the list of public schools selected to receive grants under the “Ecoalumnos” Program.

“Ecoalumnos” — sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in collaboration with Argentina’s Ministry of Education – seeks to provide inspiration and training to youth by supporting science projects with a social component.

The Cultural Affairs Office selected the following institutions during the Innovation in Education Fair 2017:

  • TECHNICAL SECONDARY EDUCATION SCHOOL Nº2, Buenos Aires, Mar de Ajó
  • E.E.T. Nº 2 – GRAL. JOSE DE SAN MARTIN (EX-CEP and TTP Nº 40) Chaco, Barranqueras
  • C.F.P. No. 650, Chubut, Rawson
  • TECHNICAL SECONDARY SCHOOL Nº1 – GENERAL SAVIO, Buenos Aires, Saladillo

The four selected schools will receive grants to advance their science projects during 2018.

Nearly 3,000 students from Argentine schools had the opportunity to present their scientific research projects in the fields of natural sciences, mathematics, technological education, social sciences, language and physical education. “Robotics” was the theme of the 2017 edition of the Fair. The projects were selected among over 1,000 projects that had previously been recognized at fairs held in the province as well as in other Latin American countries.
