This week, more than twenty American graduate students and recent college graduates arrived in Argentina for 10 month fellowship as part of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program and the Fulbright U.S. Students program. The students will live in communities across Argentina, from Jujuy to Santa Cruz. During their orientation with Fulbright staff and Argentine alumni, the Fellows were greeted by U.S. Embassy staff, including Chargé d’Affaires Kevin Sullivan. Chargé Sullivan congratulated the ETAs and the U.S. Students on being selected and encouraged them to serve as cultural ambassadors, promoting educational exchange that is mutually beneficial to both the United States and Argentina. The students come from all over the United States and have diverse majors in art, history, communications, and other areas. The English Teaching Assistants Program is supported by the Argentine National Ministry of Education and City of Buenos Aires Ministry of Education. Both programs are administered by the Fulbright Commission in Argentina
