EducationUSA network will hold the 13th edition of its Annual University Fair on October 2nd in Buenos Aires at the Emperador Hotel located at del Libertador Avenue, City of Buenos Aires, from 4 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. The EducationUSA Fair seeks to promote different study programs offered at U.S. universities.
Representatives from 25 U.S. universities will offer advice and information sessions on undergraduate careers, postgraduate studies, intensive English courses, academic and sports scholarships, admission processes, international exams, student visas, and types of financial aid available.
Universities participating in the event are the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Florida State University, City College of San Francisco and Miami International University of Art and Design, among others.
Every year, around 2,000 Argentines travel to the United States to study at U.S. higher education institutions and universities. In 2014, more than 1,000 visitors gathered at the fair.
EducationUSA is a a global network of more than 450 advising centers supported by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). The ECA increases mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries; promoting people-to-people, professional and institutional relations between individuals and organizations in the United States and abroad. These efforts are part of the “100,000 Strong in the Americas” initiative launched by President Obama in 2011 to increase international educational exchange between the United States and Latin American countries.
